| Robert Stowe England Author/Financial Journalist
| Robert Stowe England is an author and financial journalist specializing in writing about financial institutions, financial markets, retirement income issues and aging. He is based in Arlington, Virginia, and is a graduate of Duke University.
England is also a regular contributor to Banking Strategies, and occasionally to Institutional Investor. From 1999 to 2003, he served as director of research for the Global Aging Initiative (GAI) at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) in Washington, D.C.
CSIS published three books written by England on the impact of global aging on government spending on the elderly, the global economy and financial markets. He has also authored a book on the impact of aging in China. His latest book, Black Box Casino: How Wall Street's Risky Shadow Banking Crashed Global Finance, was published in 2011. England was the Washington correspondent for Plan Sponsor magazine from 1993 to 2003. Other subject areas of concentration as a journalist include business strategy, banking, corporate finance and the economy, as well as foreign affairs.
