| Sarah Clarke Hollander is the art director for Mortgage Banking magazine. She has a home studio in Alexandria, Virginia, where she is continually entertained by her husband, two sons, gregarious golden retriever and spunky shih tzu. Hollander earned a bachelor of arts degree from Mary Baldwin College and a bachelor of fine arts degree from the Corcoran School of Art.
When not art directing, designing and producing Mortgage Banking, she is either busy illustrating or gardening. Her illustrations have appeared in Mortgage Banking, The Wall Street Journal, Oxford American and Parenting. She has worked on other projects for L'Oreal, New York Life, Iams, Klutz books, Gallison, Hartcourt Brace, Microsoft and National Public Radio. She has illustrated two children's books: Two Birds Sat Upon a Stone and I Paint a Rainbow. She also illustrated a series of books on astrology published by Ariel Books.
Hollander has received awards for design, art direction and illustration from PRINT Magazine, Communication Arts, Creativity, The Illustrators Club, the Society of Illustration, the Art Directors' Club of Metropolitan Washington, the Printing Industries of America and the Society of National Association Publications.
Hollander is represented by Morgan Gaynin Inc. in New York City.
