| Robert Neubecker is a graduate of the Parsons School of Design. A longtime New Yorker, he currently lives in Park City, Utah, with his growing family and lots of animals, both domestic and wild.
He has been an illustrator for 30 years, and is currently on the staff of Slate.com. He is a regular contributor to BusinessWeek, TIME magazine, The Wall Street Journal and The Los Angeles Times, and has worked in advertising and Hollywood. Neubecker drew the poster for the 2005 Oscar®-winning movie Sideways .
Neubecker has received awards from American Illustration, PRINT Magazine, Communication Arts, 3×3 magazine, the Society of Illustrators and the American Institute of Graphic Arts. He was awarded the Key Award for Best Comedy Poster, 2004, for his Sideways poster; and the American Library Association’s Notable Book Award, 2005, for Wow! City!
Neubecker’s books for children include Wow! City!, Beasty Bath, Wow! America!, Wow! School!, and Courage of the Blue Boy.
