Illustrator
| Curtis Parker lives and paints in Tempe, Arizona. He attended Arizona State University, where he studied graphic design and illustration. After eight years as a graphic designer, he began illustrating full-time and has continued to paint full-time since 1986.
He paints with acrylic on gessoed canvas or wood. His work includes book covers, magazine illustrations, posters and advertising. He is also the illustrator for a children’s book, Dreddielocks & the Three Slugs .
His clients include The Los Angeles Times, Harvard Business Review , the Smithsonian Institution, Random House, Harcourt Brace, US Airways and Barnes & Noble. Many of his images have appeared in the Society of Illustrators, American Illustration and Communication Arts.
