Dona DeZube Freelance Writer

A freelance writer since the late 1980s, Dona DeZube believes she may have the best job in the world. Her favorite assignment for Mortgage Banking is profiling the magazine’s Technology All-Stars.

Her work also appears on career Web sites such as Monster.com, where she’s the Finance Expert; and JobsintheMoney.com, where she writes about work issues for accountants.

When not hunkered down in her Clarksville, Maryland, home office working on her next feature, DeZube is often found running on the elliptical trainer at a nearby gym (having trashed her knees playing in one too many women’s soccer matches).

After earning a liberal arts degree from The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington, she attended graduate school at the University of Maryland, but dropped out to take a job as a reporter for a local weekly newspaper. She has also worked as an assignment editor for Gannett Co. in New Jersey and for Financial World Publications.
